Happy New Year! Heart Writers
Posted by: | CommentsI have been some what busy and distracted over the holidays, but I have not forgotten the post I promised earlier. I wanted to take the opportunity to wish anyone who arrives at my Writing blog to today, this best of New Years.
I have not forgotten to write, I just have not had a chance to post some of what I have written.
Happy New Year and may this year be full health and well-being on all levels.
Ads on Blogs
Posted by: | CommentsI was just going to link to a blog that has a poem I wanted to share. But when I clicked through one of the other pages, I saw some advertising that didn’t really speak to me.
So why am I sharing this? Well, I am putting some advertising on my blog, and I am not wanting to give my visitors an unpleasant feeling.
I currently have some advertising on the sidebar: however, I plan to change this soon. Any suggestions are welcome!
I will post and write about the poem soon. It is a poem that David Whyte refers to in a portion of his CD program that have touched me very deeply. The “poem” I just shared is partially inspired by this. It is more than the poem: it also David’s sharing. Next post I intend to link to David’s site.
Writing With the Heart Begins!
Posted by: | CommentsOh My God! I think the topic for my blog is finally coming together for me. It has been a long time coming. At least it seems that way. First I created one for meditation and the heart. Then I created this one for writing. Meantime, I researched the sustainable niche, and many others. I have written many blog posts which I have not yet posted I could just have started a blog about life, but it seemed too broad. I love to write and have not written in so long.
Recently, when I decided to create a blog I bought “writingwiththeheart.com” as I needed to be connected to my heart. I think many, if not most, good writers have some connection with their hearts to write really well. Maybe they call it passion, and for me passion comes from the heart. (I mean this in a literal sense.)
I am not sure if this will be my first blog post. However, I just bought WhiteSmoke Writing software and was wanting to test it. I am finding that it is easy to use, and that I won’t always take it’s grammatical corrections for blog posts, simply because I want to write more like how I speak when it comes to my general communication for blog posts.
As I write this, I realize that my problem is not a lack of what to write about, because I have more than enough with just my own experiences and what seems to flow sometimes when I just sit down to write. For example, the other day after my heart meditation, I got up, grabbed my notebook and wrote a very long poem. Well, that is what someone called it anyway. She said “Great Poetry” and well, I am not a professional writer or poet, but then what makes a poem professional? I read some of Rumi’s poetry and I honestly think, well, I could have written this myself. Sometimes I read stuff; I wrote years ago, and it’s really good and then I realize, hey, I wrote this!
Anyway, you know I was going to make this part of the about page, simply because this is capturing the final phase of my choice for how I will focus my blog. (Looks like it is going to be my first blog post!)
I love to write, I love to meditate, I love poetry, I love to share about what enlivens me, helps me grow as a human being and evolve, what helps me with what some call personal growth.
I could have made this blog about personal growth, and I plan to include it as one of the categories or sections. I want to be able to share in the social networks authentically, and I also can’t share or promote anything that I have not personally experienced. Consequently, I had to choose, well didn’t have to, but I wanted to choose like an “umbrella topic” for the blog and then move on from there.
So there you have it, my first blog post and I haven’t even set up my blog feeds or anything else, but I needed to start. Hope you get a good feeling when you view my graphics. I am not a graphic artist, but I wanted to create them myself.
