What is The Body?

What Continuum calls a “body” is movement -- a dance of cells, molecules and interpenetrating wave motions. Emilie Conrad, more than any one I have studied, proves this in such a tangible way with her work with the paralyzed. Your "mind" may not accept this, even if you have beliefs about the body being energy. It is a whole new ballgame actually seeing what happens for yourself. Go to: Continuum Movement

Mindfulness Meditation

By Yvonne, Heart Writer

This is the first of many posts on mindfulness meditation. If you don’t know what it is the google video below will give you such a great overview and why it works and is possibly the easiest meditation to do. It certainly seems to be the most researched.

A good place to start if you want to learn is with Jon Kabat Zinn’s programs: I like them all. Full Catastrophe Living is a good one to start with.

Based on Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn’s well known mindfulness-based stress reduction program, this groundbreaking book now on CD shows you how to use these natural, medically proven methods to help soothe and heal your body, mind, and spirit. Click to Order it with a discount at LearnOutLoud

You can watch him in the Youtube video at the Google Tech Talks below

However, if you really want to go deep and really use mindfulness meditation to eventually relieve most of your “suffering” I recommend Shinzen Young.  Pain is not the same as suffering, even emotional pain is not the same as suffering. Shinzen’s cd’s and tapes and style of mindfulness have helped me really “grok” this.

Shinzen Young Meditation CD’s will take you deeper and give you much more than stress relief. =>
